A Real Treasure

The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense. ~ Proverbs 27:9 (NLT).

When your friend tells you the truth, such as you complain too much or do something that offends others, rather than sparing your feelings, that friend thinks highly of you. He cares about your character and the way you live your life. Most people won't tell you the truth. They sugar-coat it instead. Praise God for honest friends. They are a real treasure.
