On High Alert

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. ~ Isaiah 43:18-19.

We are not to dwell on the former things in our lives.  Those things that have already passed are gone.  There is nothing we can do about those things now.  Our focus has to be on God and what He has in store for our lives.  We need to be on high alert to watch for the new things He is wanting to do for us.  So many times we want to stay with the old, the comfortable, but we have to be willing to experience the new. Without it, we will remain stagnant, in the same place year after year.
