Our Defeated Foe

He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.  - 1 John 3:8 (NIV).

Jesus came to Earth to destroy the works of the devil.  We allow an already defeated foe to run our lives.  We let him overrun our thinking, our words, our actions.  We need to remember that we are already seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.  Look down from that position?  And what do we see?  The devil under our feet.  That's how we need to act.  We need to act like the devil is defeated because he is.
