He Will Not Afflict

@ 09:11 AM (10 months, 10 days ago)

[Touching] the Almighty, we cannot find him out: [he is] excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. - Job 37:23

We, as human beings, know how to give good things to our children.  We wouldn't give our children any thing that would harm them.  We wouldn't intentionally inject them with a life-threatening disease.  We wouldn't let them play in places that are dangerous to them.

However, we have gotten the impression that our Heavenly Father, who loved us enough to sent His Son to die for us, would harm us.  We believe He afflicts us with diseases and allows harm to come our way to teach us something.

This Scripture clearly states that the Almighty does not afflict.  No, He loves us.  We are His children, engrafted into His family.  Because you are His child, He only wants what is best for you...and harming you is not God's best for you.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?  Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin?  That He was raised from the dead?  Then just pray aloud, "Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins.  Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour."  If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again.  Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
