Living The Curse
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. - John 15:13 (NIV).
Jesus laid down His life for us. He was nailed to a cross. He was beaten and bruised. He took stripes for us.
Yet most people say He didn’t overcome the world because they see evidence of the curse. They see the curse all around them, yet Christ has redeemed them from it.
According to Galatians 3:13, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. He has redeemed us from sickness and disease. He has redeemed us from spiritual death. He has redeemed us from poverty.
The problem doesn’t lie with what Jesus did for us, giving us salvation, healing, abundance, peace. The problem lies with us. We don’t believe that we have what God says we have.
So, when problems come our way, we don’t remember what Christ did for us, what God promised us. We don’t believe that God will come through for us no matter what we see around us.
Instead we live under the curse. We accept the sickness, the poverty, the pain. We don’t take the promises and fight for what is ours.
Why? Because although we are redeemed from the curse, it is still on the inside of us. It is in our thinking. It is in our mouths. As long as we think we are cursed, we will live under the curse. Even though Christ has paid the price for us to have His blessings.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin? That He was raised from the dead? Then just pray aloud, “Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour.” If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again. Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
