If You Had Been Here...
"Lord," Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died. - John 11:21 (NIV).
When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." - John 11:32 (NIV).
How many times have we been like Mary and Martha? How many times have we said, "Lord, if You had only been here."
But God is always on time. He comes right when we need Him, even if it seems too late by our standards.
God knows what He is doing, and if He isn't worried, why should we be?
