Participating In The Divine Nature
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. - 2 Peter 1:4 (NIV).
God gave us the promises. Why? According to this Scripture, it was so we can participate in the divine nature. When Christ is in us, when He is working through us, we are participating in the divine nature. We are in Christ.
We know that we, as believers, have trouble fall on us just as the sinners do. However, we have an option that they don't.
We can believe what God has promised us in His Word. We can believe He has healed us, saved us, delivered us and given us every thing that pertains to life and godliness, or we can accept what comes our way and do nothing. The choice is ours.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin? That He was raised from the dead? Then just pray aloud, "Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour." If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again. Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
