Restored To Our Original State
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. - Psalms 23: 1-3
God restores our souls.
The word restore means to bring back to, put back into, the former or original state; to repair; renew.
God brings our souls--our minds, wills and emotions--back to their original state. God is constantly helping us to renew our minds, wills and emotions back to their original condition, to our before-the-fall condition.
This is why we must allow Him to restore our souls, to yield to His instructions, because when we try to renew or restore our own souls, we fail miserably.
