Don't Die Before Your Time
I’ve heard that Solomon never attained long life. I know that he only
served as king of Israel for forty years, the same amount of time that
his father served as king...and that was without God’s special gift of
wisdom.
In Proverbs 3:16, we discover that wisdom has long life in her right hand and riches and honor in her left.
However, in I Kings 3:14, God told Solomon if he followed God’s ways, God would give him long life.
If we read the account of Solomon’s life, we realize that Solomon taxed his people severely and turned away from God.
As we know, Jesus came to fulfill the conditions of the law for us, to fulfill man’s part of the covenant with God. He did this so that we could receive all the benefits of the salvation package. After accepting Christ, we now dwell in the shadow of the Almighty and are entitled to the benefits in Psalm 91, including living until we are satisfied (Psalm 91:16).
If we don’t keep our eyes focused on Jesus and His wisdom (not ours), though, we will never know what Jesus died for us to have. In fact, if we don’t keep our eyes on Jesus and do what He tells us to do, we might die before our time. So keep your eyes on Jesus.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin? That He was raised from the dead? Then just pray aloud, "Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour." If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again. Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
