What Is Failing In Your Life?

@ 09:34 AM (3 months, 13 days ago)

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. - Habakkuk 3:17-18 (KJV).

Even when things are going bad in our lives, like the person in these Scriptures with the fig tree not blossoming and the vines not budding, we still need to rejoice in our Lord.

Trouble is not from God.  We live in this world, so we will have trouble.  However Jesus tells us to be of good cheer because He overcame the world (John 16:33).

And where does Christ live now?  In us (Colossians 1:27).

When we rejoice in the Lord in the midst of our trouble, we are trusting God to be faithful and bring us through the difficulty.

God doesn't bring the trouble, but if we let Him, He can use it as an opportunity to springboard us to bigger and better things.

He can use what the devil meant for evil and turn it around for our good (Romans 8:28).

Do You Know God?

@ 08:42 AM (3 months, 14 days ago)

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - Proverbs 22:6 (KJV).

Raised in a Christian home, I attended church every Sunday until I turned fifteen or sixteen.  At that point, I wanted no more of church or God.

I periodically checked in with God when I encountered trouble, but I kept telling myself I would worry about God later.

At twenty-three, I went through a rough patch.  The people I thought would always be in my life weren't.  My health finally showed signs of wear from all my years of worry (I joke that I was born worrying).  And the job I thought I could always count on failed me.

I realized that I needed God.  I turned back to Him after a near-death experience.  For me, I knew I had been spared for a reason.  So I turned to Him for good.

My mother trained me in the way of God, and later on, I returned to Him.

I left Him because I had been taught that He was a mean, judgmental God.  Now I know Him as Daddy, as Saviour, as love, peace and joy.

And knowing He loves me makes all the difference.  It makes any situation or trial I face that much more bearable.

Listening To God’s Instruction?

@ 08:52 AM (3 months, 15 days ago)

He who obeys instructions guards his life, but he who is contemptuous of his ways will die. - Proverbs 19:16 (NIV).

Many times we are so busy, trying to fulfill the laws in the Bible, trying to work out our own salvation.

We tend to neglect the instructions from God through our spirit.  These instructions are the instructions that will bring life if we follow them.

It is when we listen to God speak to us that He will tell us how to avoid danger or how to land that big account.

God's instructions bring us life, and we need God to lead us and guide us during our day.

Listen and obey what God is speaking to your spirit.

Taking the time to ask God to guide you and lead you every morning will help you avoid some dangerous situations.

Isn't that worth the two seconds out of your morning to pray for His guidance?

Do You Have A Rope Of Hope?

@ 09:46 AM (3 months, 16 days ago)

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:5

The word hope here in Romans 5:5 is the Greek transliterated word elpis, which is used for the word hope as well as rope.

I have been learning to turn things over to God.  When I let Him help me with those things that concern me,  I notice I have more of that Bible hope, which is a confident expectation of good happening, that doesn't disappoint.

All of us can use a lot more of that kind of hope.  God’s hope is just the rope we need to pull us out of our pools of despair.

Who Loves You?

@ 08:51 AM (3 months, 17 days ago)

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  - Romans 8: 37-39 (KJV).

Why Are You Here?

@ 08:57 AM (3 months, 25 days ago)

[The purpose is] that through the church the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere. This is in accordance with the terms of the eternal and timeless purpose which He has realized and carried into effect in [the person of] Christ Jesus our Lord. - Ephesians 3: 10-11 (AMP).

God had an eternal purpose when He sent Jesus to this Earth to die for us.  We are going to Heaven when we die because we have accepted Christ.

However, most of us don't understand the correlation between our earthly purpose and our eternal one.

We are not here to bide time.  We are here to fulfill God's plan to reconcile others to Himself through our individual God-given purposes.

Until we fulfill them, God's plan will be delayed, including the coming of our Lord.  We cannot go to Heaven until our work on Earth is through.

Do You Have The Mind Of Christ?

@ 08:34 AM (3 months, 29 days ago)

For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. - 1 Corinthians 2: 16 (AMP).

We have the mind of Christ.  If we try to do everything in our own strength, figuring everything out in our own mind, we are going to be solely disappointed.

We, humans, only use ten percent of our brains whereas God uses one-hundred percent of His.  Imagine having access to His brain twenty-four/seven.

We actually do have that access because as the righteous, as those who are in Christ, we have the mind of Christ.

Declare it today and every day: "I have the mind of Christ."  Don't doubt it.  Just believe it.

Are You Worrying Or Declaring?

@ 10:04 AM (4 months, 3 days ago)

Grace and spiritual blessing be to you and [soul] peace from God the Father and our  Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), who gave (yielded) Himself up [to atone] for our sins  [and to save and sanctify us], in order to rescue and deliver us from this present wicked  ge and world order, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of our God and Father. - Galatians 1: 3-4 (AMP).

Jesus gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age.

We are in an evil age.  There is no doubt about it.  The courts are holding up what is wrong and calling it right.  We are in this world, but we are not of this world.

We are seated in Heavenly places because we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  We are kings and priests, but instead of taking our rightful places and living out our purpose, we act like the world, worrying and toiling to make ends meet when we are supposed to be speaking what God says about our situations.

We are supposed to be declaring that we are rich (2 Corinthians 8:9) and that our needs are supplied (Philippians 4:19).  Not in Heaven but here on earth (Matthew 6:10)...as God promised.

Are You A Great Beauty?

@ 10:16 AM (4 months, 7 days ago)

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. - Ecclesiastes 3: 11 (AMP).

God makes everything beautiful in its time.  I don't count myself a great beauty or as the smartest person in the world, but just like all of you, I am beautiful to God.

In His time, He will bring His purpose for me to fruition as He will with you.  Then we will be beautiful in our time by meeting the needs of those God called us to help.  Not only will we be beautiful to God but those we help as well.

Is Everything A “Go”?

@ 09:47 AM (4 months, 8 days ago)

To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven. - Ecclesiastes 3: 1

There is a time for everything.  Even a time for us to marry, have children, be born and start our purpose.

Some of us are what they use to term late bloomers.  We marry later, have kids later, and yes, even start our purpose later.

But God has everything under control.  He is executing His plan at just the right moment when conditions are all a "go." What is late to us is right on time to God.

Whether you are a late bloomer or an early one, we are all called for such a time as this.

I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfills {his purpose} for me. - Psalm 57:2 (NIV).

When we cry out to God, when we seek Him, He will fulfill His purpose in us.  Only His plans will stand.  Not ours.  Only with His help can we accomplish anything in our lives because we can do nothing on our own (John 15:5).  When we partner with God and let Him work through us, we can accomplish anything (Luke 1:37).

Do You Take Him At His Word?

@ 09:52 AM (4 months, 11 days ago)

Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. - Romans 10: 4 (NIV).

This Scripture says, “Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.”

Do you believe that Jesus died for all your sins?  That God raised Him from the dead?  Do you take Him at His Word about salvation?

Then why not when He says you are righteous through the shed blood of Jesus?  Why are you still trying to earn salvation and righteousness? We are righteous through Jesus' shed blood.

God has a wonderful purpose in store for us who believe Him and take Him at His Word.  One tailored for each of us individually.  We just need to believe Him.

Who Needs Jesus?

@ 09:07 AM (4 months, 12 days ago)

For this is My Father's will and His purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day. - John 6: 40 (AMP).

If we believe in what Jesus did for us on the cross, we have eternal life.  We know that our eternal salvation is secure.  It is our mission to make sure others have the opportunity to make Jesus their Saviour as well.

Can you think of people in your life that need God?  Can you think of creative ways to spread the Gospel to people you haven’t met yet?

People need Jesus, and you may be the only glimpse of Him that they ever see on this Earth.
