Who Are You Afraid Of?

@ 08:43 AM (5 months, 16 hours ago)

I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; - Isaiah 51:12 (KJV).

God comforts us in times of trouble.  He is with us and loves us so much that He wants to share in every area of our lives.  He wants to share in our ups, downs, joys, sorrows.  He wants to help us every step of the way.  He is a very hands-on God.

If God is for us, why should we be afraid of what mortal humans can do to us?

Far too many times, our focus is on humans and what they are doing to upset us--coming over too often, not mowing their yards, not training their kids and so forth.

We instead need to focus our attention on God.  Whatever we focus on is the direction our lives will take.

Go toward God.  Focus on Him and the finished work of Jesus at the Cross.  Remember God is the Best Friend we can have.  With Him on our side, who needs anybody else?

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?  Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin?  That He was raised from the dead?  Then just pray aloud, "Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins.  Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour."  If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again.  Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
