Simple Or Difficult?

@ 10:08 AM (2 months, 4 days ago)

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.- 2 Corinthians 11:3 (KJV).

Paul feared in this Scripture that the devil had deceived the early church as he did Eve.  Paul feared that they might move away from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Just like the early church, in my opinion, we have moved away from the simplicity that is in Christ.

We are now taught that we must earn our blessings, that we need to be "perfect" in our attitudes, our thinking and our actions to be blessed.

All of which negates what Jesus did at the cross.

Jesus met the conditions for every  promise.  He did all the work for us.

When we try to work to earn our blessings, we are not living under the grace of the New Covenant.

According to Romans 10:9-10, we receive Christ by speaking and believing.  It is the same principle for everything else in the Christian walk.  We receive by speaking and believing.

Remember if it is a struggle, then it is not grace.

Receive all that God has for you by faith, so you can be a blessing to others.  You can't give what you have not received.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?  Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin?  That He was raised from the dead?  Then just pray aloud, "Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins.  Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour."  If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again.  Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
